A space where history, the present, the dreamlike, and the virtual will bring to life a journey following the Path of the Wise Men in a unique and unforgettable experience. This exhibition, envisioned by filmmaker Joel Soler, is designed as a true immersion in a living documentary series, offering an exhaustive decoding of both the experience and the legacy of these magi, distinct from the event known by all as “Christmas.”
The world’s largest collection dedicated to the Magi and their artistic and cultural world.
Masterful paintings, icons, stained glass, sacred art, lithographs, tapestries, fans, chests, jewelry boxes, furniture, sculptures, 1500 stamps featuring the Magi, coins, a book collection, reproductions—all form part of the MAGOS Foundation’s Collection dedicated to the Magi and their artistic and cultural universe.
WISDOM GUIDES US TO THE COEXISTENCE OF CULTURES AND THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN RELIGIONS.
MAGI means “THE WISE MAN” according to Eastern traditions.
In Aramaic, m’gushai refers to men of recognized wisdom. In ancient Persian, MAGI is “the one who knows how to act” or “a scholar, an expert,” according to the ancient Greeks. The Latin derivative “MAGIS” characterizes a masterful way of thinking that allows one to act well.
Over the centuries, the Magi have represented true models of inspiration, a sort of caste that the greats of this world aspire to embody. Following the path of these wise men and exploring the roots of their legacy is to encounter Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Hinduism, Catholicism, and Islam. A bridge between people, civilizations, and religions.
The MAGOS Foundation invites you to follow the paths of wisdom through historical and contemporary journeys. Its ambition is to act in the face of the great challenge of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
Dive into the life and journey of the Magi and other Eastern leaders as they share their powerful message of cultural and religious dialogue.
The interactive designs of the exhibition spaces will be used as educational areas to invite school groups and will allow for an understanding of specific themes:
A toy drive campaign will be held for children from November to December. During the “Three Kings’ Day” celebrations on January 5 and 6, children from disadvantaged backgrounds and orphanages in Granada and its province will be invited to experience this magical event, possibly creating a memory that could last a lifetime. During the snack time, they will be the “honored guests” of the Three Kings’ festivities. They will be able to explore the exhibition, participate in a photo session, and leave with one or more gifts.
